IBS - Hostel Providers

1. Bhavani Residency

They provide 2 places 3km and 1.25 km from IBS-B respectively. Also they have transportation service with Rs. 350/pm

2. Shree Comforts

They provide 3 places 0.5, 0.8 and 1 km from IBS-B respectively. I visited one which is the closest place from the campus. It’s walkable distance. But this area is not so clean and bright. I felt little dirty and uncomfortable. I met Mr. Kalyan, he looked young and cool. This one has 3 floors and each floor has 4~5 flat. In each flat, there are 3 rooms. Two for two people sharing, one for single. But Single room has a separate toilet, not in the room. It’s very confined.

3. Agarwal Residency

They provide 6 places but it’s farther than others. They are 2~3 km from IBS-B. 3 km far Hostel, they provide transportation service with Rs. 350/pm.

It was very touch to visit all the places with only address. So I will contact them and visit again after some days. That time I will take pictures and show you.

 

In charge person of accommodation in IBS, he told me,
“Don’t hurry and take your time for getting hostel. First, see the all hostels then think and think, if you are satisfied with their service, then only you decide. Also, you ask them to bring you from IBS and show all places then drop you here. If they don’t give such service, please tell me.” I think there are a lot of complaints regarding hostels in IBS-B.

Annual Hostel Rent : Rs. 36,000/- (Including of water and electricity charges)
Caution Deposit : Rs. 10,000/- (Rs. 8,000/- is refundable at the end of the year)
Total : Rs. 46,000/-

Separately they will provide breakfast and dinner with Rs. 1,500/pm. If you want to get Internet connection, Laundry service and any any other services, they will charge extra.

Hostels - Agarwal Residency & Shree Comforts

Yesterday I went to IBS-B for seeing Hostels. First, I mat Mr. Agarwal at the campus.

He picked me up to 2km far New Hostel(I think he hasn't decided to rent this flat)

He showed me first floor and second floor. In first floor, there are 2 rooms with attached bathroom and 1 more bathroom in dinning room. Second floor is pent house, it has 2 floors and there are 2 rooms each floor. Each room has an attached bathroom. And it has a terrace.

It's a new flat so it's nice and clean. But it's not finished all the works. There is no wardrobe and no any furniture. He will put 2 pairs of table, chairs and bed in every room. Wardrobe, also.

It is exactly 2km from IBS-B and very calm and clean area. But he showed me only it.
Because it's a new and the closest of his hostels.

Next I went to Shree Comforts' new hostel which is 0.7km far from IBS-B. It's also a new flat and it's still under construction. It's smaller than Agarwal's and Mr. Kalyan told me rooms attched bathroom are already booked. It's mean other 4 members should share one bathroom. Actually each flat there are two rooms but he is planning to make one more room with kichen area. I think this room is small for 2 ppls.
But it's very close to the campus, anyway.

You can also see pictures in my album. He told me he has a 3 hostels. Above is only for IBS-B new batch and one which I saw last week is available, another one is already full booked.

I tried to contact Bhavani Residency, at that time he was out of station, so I couldn't see his hostel. I asked him whether he also has a new flat, he has one.
After see his hostel, then I will decide. But if you want to stay near the campus, you should rush to book for the room.

Still I am confused which is the best option for me.

I went to the campus again today for seeing Bhavani's hostels.

He has a new hostel which is still under constructing. It's not completed any interior, even flooring. But he will make it definitely by mid of April.

It's 1.1km far from the campus building, and residential area. Actually building is for 2bhk but we will make a wall in the dining room and he will make it a room.

So, it will be total 3 rooms but only 2 bathroom. In case of room with attached bathroom, they are sharing the bathroom with roomate, but other two rooms member should share common bathroom with 4 members.

Anyway, it's quite close to the campus and area is good.

I went to another old hostel it's 3.7km from the campus in JP Nagar. In this hostel,

each room has an attached bathroom, but area is quite noisy. I met some of seniors who is staying there, they said it's good and Bhavani provides North Indian Food, also.


And I met one senior who is staying at Bhavani's hostel. He gave information about a flat. Now seniors who is staying at the flat are finding two guys.
